Today, Qingdao Santongde Metal Products Co., Ltd. shared knowledge on material classification of lead out rods
The lead out rods can be divided into the following four categories according to their materials:
(1) Iron lead out rod (commonly used grade A3): priced, easy to process, commonly used for straight tube electric heating elements. Due to the lack of high-temperature annealing treatment, the lead out rod is not easily oxidized at high temperatures.
(2) Stainless steel lead out rod: It is relatively expensive and difficult to process. It is usually processed by rolling teeth after quenching, with high temperature resistance and strength. There is oxidation phenomenon during annealing (Ni2O3, Cr2O3). This oxidation layer has a protective effect and strong load resistance. Although the resistance is relatively high, it can compensate for the disadvantages of high resistance and easy heating due to its high temperature resistance.
(3) Brass lead out rod (note not to use purple copper or copper tin alloy) is generally made of H62 copper and should not be used at high temperatures to prevent copper diffusion and penetration into magnesium oxide. Generally used for low-temperature water heaters or oil heaters, it is easy to process, has better weldability than iron and stainless steel, and has low resistance and is less prone to heating.
(4) Stainless iron lead out rod (1Cr13 or 2Cr13), priced higher than stainless steel, is not easily oxidized, and its processing difficulty is between A3 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti. Its weldability is extremely poor, which means that it is almost impossible to weld after fracture. However, it is more suitable for slightly thicker or shorter exposed lead out rods, and can be welded firmly to inserts of the same material.
The above is the knowledge about the electric heating tube lead out rod that the editor will explain to you today. I hope it is helpful to you!
