How to distinguish the quality of the electric heating tube lead out rod

2024-07-30

The quality of the electric heating tube lead out rod mainly depends on the following aspects: electrical strength, insulation, leakage current, power accuracy, service life, corrosion resistance, size, etc.

1. Electrical strength: The factors that affect the electrical strength of electric heating tubes mainly include the thickness of the insulation layer, the quality of the insulation material, the length of the electric heating tube, the radius and number of bends.

2. Insulation: The main factor affecting the insulation of electric heating tubes is the sealing process of the tubes. Hongchuang can generally achieve over 1000 megaohms.

3. Leakage current: mainly related to the temperature, voltage, and heating length of the electric heating tube during use. It is an important assessment indicator for high-temperature electric heating tubes.

4. Power accuracy: It is mainly related to the quality of the resistance wire and the manufacturing process level of the factory. Before mass production, Hongchuang needs to conduct temperature coefficient tests to determine the qualified power range of cold resistance.

5. Lifespan: The lifespan of electric heating tubes is not only related to the quality of the resistance wire, but also to factors such as the quality of magnesium oxide powder and the selection of resistance wire diameter. When selecting the diameter of the resistance wire, it is necessary to calculate the surface load of the resistance wire to meet the required lifespan.

6. Corrosion resistance is a common issue encountered in water heating electric heating tubes and barbecue electric heating tubes. In addition to the reasonable selection of materials, it is also related to the heat treatment of the electric heating tube and the surface condition of the electric heating tube.

The specific methods for distinguishing the quality of electric heating tubes are as follows:
(1) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance range of the lead wire or lead rod of the electric heating tube. If there are two wires or lead rods for single-phase or two-phase, use the red and black probes of the multimeter to test the lead wire. If the resistance value R is within the range, it means that the heating wire of the electric heating tube is not short circuited.

(2) Then use a megohmmeter (also known as a shaking meter or insulation resistance meter) to measure the insulation resistance value between the lead out wire or lead out rod of the electric heating tube and the tube of the electric heating tube. If the megohmmeter indicates a higher value, the better, indicating that the insulation of the electric heating tube is good. However, the minimum value should not be lower than 2M ohms, otherwise the leakage protection switch will trip and cannot work during use.

(3) Check that the power cord is not damaged and that the junction box is well sealed.
